Pride Artivism workshop and talking circle on 13 May at Cafe Merlo

Join us for a creative and collective banner & poster-making session and a talking circle ahead of the Brussels Pride march in Brussels.

For our talking circle, we’ll discuss what is happening to the LGBTIQ+ community - we are under attack and our rights are being threatened from the US to the UK, all the way to Russia and fellow like minded (far right) governments in the EU. Read this and more recent worrying developments.

We’ll also spend time creating our own banners and posters for the PRIDE march. Bring your ideas, your energy, and anything you'd like to decorate. We'll provide materials and good vibes! It’s a chance to connect all while preparing for a day of solidarity and action on 17 May.

  • When: 13 May at 18:30

Join us for the demonstration in Brussels on 17 May

The Brussels Pride March takes place this year on 17 May, a symbolic date as it coincides with the IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia). Want to join the BarBichette group to march for LGBTIQ+ rights through the streets of Brussels on 17 May? You can join the whatsapp group here or contact daniela@barbichette.org and we’ll keep in touch for a meeting point etc. The march starts around 14h00 by Monts des Arts, so we’ll meet somewhere nearby just before.
