Meet the comedians!

Ariane

Ariane is a passionate language nerd, musician, and for the past 6 months also a comedian.

How does she make time for her hobbies? Is she organized? No, being single is way more efficient. Her dream is to make people laugh in as many languages as possible.

She has already performed in French, Dutch, English and Hungarian. But then where is she from? Join us and figure it out at the show!

Carmen Navidad

Carmen Navidad made her debut in French in 2019. In 2023, she decided that making people laugh in her own language wasn't challenging enough, so she started to get on stage in English. She often defines herself as a PhDiva and a drag queen trapped in a comedian's body.

Carly Blair

Carly Blair is a not-your-typical-American American who's been trying to shove her square peg-shaped self into Amsterdam's round hole with admirable, or perhaps foolish, persistence for the last ten or so years. When she's not embarrassing her parents and menagerie of ex-lovers with her comedy, she works as a freelance writer for corporate clients and exercises frenetically so as to minimize the chance of having a double chin in her gig photos.

Heli Pärna

Heli Pärna is an actor, comedian, and all-around creator of sound. In Estonian, Helilooja means ‘Creator of Sound’, and Heli takes that purpose very seriously. She also has a nerd-level passion for languages and books, sometimes also finding the time to write and translate literature all while trying to save the world from waste at her day job. Having grown up in Estonia and now growing even more up in the city of Brussels, she likes to proudly say that she is a double immigrant. Something that she also loves to talk about in her shows.

Kym Nelson

Kym Nelson is a writer, improv performer, and stand-up comedian. Originally from London, she now lives in Belgium and says, "It's not as boring as people say it is... it's worse." Due to her ability to annoy people (namely Belgians), she has been forced to take her 'sense of humour' across the borders to neighbouring countries, i.e., the Netherlands and the UK, where she's more welcome. A former yoga and meditation teacher, she says how it really is (and annoying yoga teachers simultaneously - yes, there is a common theme here...she will gladly recommend a yoga pose to deal with annoyance!). She’s currently planning her comedy show for the Camden Fringe Festival called; 'Confessions of an Anti-Yoga Teacher." She brings comedic storytelling, dry wit, deadpan humour, and (sometimes) tongue-in-cheek poetry.

Laurien Vereecken

Laurien Vereecken is 28, lives in Brussels, and has recently had her car towed for the very first time. She spent her whole life being single, and has been exploiting her love life for stories since 2017. The results: a string of interesting dates, a blog called Sex & the Shitty, and the overwhelming urge to start stand-up comedy. Oh, and more recently and far more incredibly: a girlfriend.

Mari Volar

Mari Volar is an Estonian comedian, comedy producer and musician. Having been kicked out of her pretty and introverted homeland for being too opinionated, unattractive and loud, she now resides in Cologne, Germany and gets into all sorts of trouble as the creator and MC of Clit Comedy Club.

Mari is frequently seen performing in cities across Germany (Cologne, Frankfurt and Berlin to name a few), but her comedic timing and charm have also received praise in places like Brussels, Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Prague. Her witty remarks and tales of immigrant living will make you love, hate and pity her in perfectly equal amounts.

Mari proudly brings more feminism into her comedy and more comedy into her feminism, creating a over-the-top mix in both that simply cannot be missed. She’s a basic white girl on Instagram @marivolar and all Clit Comedy related shows can be found on clitcomedyclub.com
