Part 1: Defend & Detox: Empowerment through self-defence and yoga
Introduction to self-defence with Alex
This empowering self-defence session draws on the principles of Pekiti Tersia Kali and English boxing, emphasising distancing techniques, strategic entries and exits, emergency guards, elbow striking, and the use of improvised weapons. All levels and abilities are welcome to participate.Pekiti Tersia Kali, a Filipino martial art, grounds our approach in situational awareness and practical techniques.
In this 45-minute workshop, you will learn:
Techniques to effectively escape potentially dangerous situations.
Methods to quickly and physically defend yourself.
Close-range strategies for retaliating when no other options are available.

Grounding yoga session with Solène
Following the self-defence workshop, immerse yourself in a 45-minutes detox and grounding yoga session. Designed to complement the physical and mental exertion of self-defence training, this session will help you cleanse your body, calm your mind, and let go of things that no longer serve you. Moving with our breath, the practice will incorporate twists, bends, and stretches and will help increase circulation and release toxins in both body and mind. You will leave the session with a sense of clarity, inner peace and feeling refreshed.
This session is suitable for all levels and abilities, adjustments and variations will be provided, ensuring everyone can benefit from the practice. B.Y.O.M (bring your own mat)
