Book Club: Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Pérez

  • To be confirmed asap Brussels Belgium (map)

Join us on Thursday 10 April for our next book club where we will explore "Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men" by Caroline Criado Pérez – a book that reveals the hidden ways systemic gender bias shapes our world.

Caroline Criado Pérez's book investigation exposes a critical blind spot in our society: the gender data gap. Through research and case studies, the book demonstrates how our world is designed around male experiences, systematically overlooking and disadvantaging women across multiple areas of life.

What to read & our book club discussion

You don’t have to read the whole book to join our book club night and the discussion! Here is what we propose:

  • Everyone is invited to read the Chapter 8 ‘One-Size-Fits-Men’.

  • In addition, we invite you to read one additional chapter of your choice (if you can, there is no obligation) and you can then share your insights about the chapter during the evening.

We're committed to a nuanced discussion that goes beyond the book's narrative. We'll explore what the book has revealed and some of its key themes and we will also critically examine its scope, particularly its gaps in representing non-binary and transgender experiences in the study.

Bring your insights, questions, and open mind!
